William Clough Obituary, Death – On Sunday afternoon, a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle resulted in the deaths of two people, and it is yet unknown what exactly caused the accident.
According to information provided on the website of the Minnesota State Patrol, the event took place on Highway 55 close to Paynesville at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Two passengers were riding a Harley Davison touring motorbike when it was involved in a collision with a 2004 Buick LeSabre while it was traveling eastbound on Route 55.
The driver and passenger on the motorcycle, William James Clough, 53, and Melissa Anne Clough, 49, both from Mora, did not make it out of the accident alive.
Few specifics are available regarding the causes that led to the collision, but both Cloughs lost their lives. While Melissa Clough succumbed to her injuries at St. Cloud Hospital, her husband, William Clough, passed away at the scene of the accident.
The man who was driving the Buick, a 60-year-old Long Prairie resident, walked away from the collision unscathed. The Paynesville police and fire departments, as well as the officers from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the Centra Care ambulance, and the LifeLink Air helicopter, provided assistance to the State Patrol at the scene of the accident.
