Vivian Rice Obituary, Death – On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Vivian Thomas Rice, who was a resident of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away in her home in Brandon, Mississippi. Her birthday is September 25th, 1957, and she was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on the day of the funeral, which is Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Fisher-Riles Funeral Home located at 5000 Indiana Avenue Vicksburg, Mississippi 39180. The memorial ceremony and celebration of life will begin at 11 AM. After that, there will be a service at the graveside that will only include the immediate relatives. Her parents, Ernest and Marty Thomas, as well as her sister, Pam Thomas, passed away before she did.
She was the last surviving member of her family. Her husband, Jon David Rice, and her daughter, Danette Rice, as well as her brother, Ernest Thomas III, sister, Cindy Thomas, and nephew, Anthony Thomas, are among those who are able to carry on after her passing. After receiving her Master of Arts in Mathematics from LSU, Vivian went on to teach at a number of universities in the state of Louisiana.
She was a loving wife and mother to her family. After she had finished raising their daughter, she went to work as a bookkeeper for her husband’s company. In addition to being proud of her Lebanese ethnicity, Vivian enjoyed gardening, working out, and listening to music. Her loved ones, both near and far, will miss her in a profound way. Donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Mississippi Baptist Health Foundation in lieu of sending flowers would be greatly appreciated by the family.
