Tim Lyons Obituary, Death- We want to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Tim Lyons, who served as the Keeper of the Whitchurch Lock and Weir. Tim passed away on May 9th, 2023.
The departure of Tim, who was a well-known and beloved member of the Whitchurch community, has left us all with heavy hearts and a sense of loss. We would like to use this opportunity to extend an invitation to anyone who knew Tim to contribute their reminiscences, anecdotes, and words of sympathy to a book that has been compiled in his honor. This book will serve as a memorial to Tim’s life and the influence he had on the people in his immediate environment.
This book of condolences is being opened with heavy hearts in remembrance of our good friend and colleague, Tim Lyons Whitchurch Lock and Weir Keeper, who died away on Monday, May 9, 2023. Tim Lyons was a keeper at the Whitchurch Lock and Weir. Tim was recognized for his unrelenting dedication, compassionate heart, and contagious personality, all of which made him a much-loved part of our team. A hole has been created in both our workplace and in our hearts as a result of Tim’s departure, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have had the chance to get to know him and work alongside him.
Tim was more than simply a lock keeper; he was a pleasant face that was recognized by boaters and visitors alike. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or provide helpful direction. Tim grew to become an integral part of the Whitchurch community over the course of his life, and his absence is keenly felt by everyone who was fortunate enough to call him a friend.
We would like to extend an invitation to everyone who had the privilege of knowing Tim, whether it was as a friend, a coworker, or a boater who went through the lock, to contribute their recollections, anecdotes, photographs, videos, and notes of condolence to this book.
