Sheila Boyd Obituary, Death – Sheila Haynes Boyd died peacefully in St. Joseph, Missouri, on May 19, 2023. Sheila, born in Opelika, Alabama, on June 12, 1950, was known for her kindness and warmth.
Sheila’s husband, Charles, and siblings, Gwen Smith, Kenny Haynes, and Larry Haynes, predeceased her. Toby Boyd (Colleen), Danny Boyd (Angie), and Kelly ReJoyce Barr (Michael) survive her.
Sheila leaves behind her siblings, Debbie East (Gary) Lanett, Sonya Denigris, Valley, Chris Haynes (April), Kennesaw, GA, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Linda Haynes, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will miss her.
Sheila worked hard at Wal-Mart and retired after many years. Her welcoming home made everyone feel like family. From job to personal life, she was generous and caring.
Sheila loved pink and speed-read. She was constantly ready to meet new people and share her love of life. Sheila loved collecting Barbie dolls and sharing her passion with others. She was also a huge Elvis lover, playing his songs and talking about him.
Sheila loved shopping and relaxing at the beach. She was nice, generous, and loved her family and friends.
We honor Sheila’s life and the many ways she brightened and loved the world. Her warmth and generosity will encourage all who were lucky enough to have been touched by her love.

Funeral services will be place at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:00A.M. EDT, followed by burial in Shawmut Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 EDT.
