On June 30, 2012, Sharla married Jared R. Thilker. Sharla was a devoted wife, a proud dancing mom, and an Air Force mom, and her greatest delight was being an Oma to her two grandchildren. Her quick wit, sarcasm, and sense of humor will be remembered.

Her laughter lasted until the end of her ALS fight. Sharla was a fan of inside jokes, Disney World, piano playing, reading, and board games. She had the opportunity to coach numerous students through her piano playing, and they will carry her musical ability with them. Her passion for literature led to work as a Librarian at Moulton Middle School, where she shared her enthusiasm for books with many pupils. Sharla was famous among her nieces and nephews as the World’s Greatest TiTi.

Sharla is survived by her husband, Jared; her daughter, Korryna Thilker of Shelbyville; her sons, Blake Thilker (Macy) of Gillespie, IL, and Logan Thilker of Toledo, IL; her parents, Sam and Sharon Aldridge of Inverness, FL; her brother, Scott Aldridge of Bainbridge, GA; two grandchildren, Brett and Brody Thilker; 22 nieces and nephews; and 15 great nieces and nephews.
