Savon Davis Obituary, Death- Savon Marquis Davis, age 19, has been identified as the victim of the shooting that took place in the Roseway Neighborhood. His death was ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner.
who also determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound. The Davis family has been informed of their loved one’s passing and asks that they be given privacy at this time. A shooting that took place in the Roseway Neighborhood resulted in the death of one person.
North Precinct officers were sent to the 3500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue at 11:18 p.m. on the evening of Friday, May 19, 2023, after receiving a report of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, they discovered a victim lying on the road who had been hurt. The suspect or suspects fled the area, and authorities were unable to make any arrests right away.
The Homicide Unit of the Portland Police Department was dispatched to the area in order to investigate. During the on-scene investigation, Northeast 82nd Avenue was closed to all traffic between North Fremont Street and Northeast Beech Street for approximately five hours; however, it is now back open to traffic in that area.
