Rosemary Bishop Obituary, Death – Mrs. Rosemary Bishop, who taught me in seventh grade at Murgon State School, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, the 19th of May.
She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of this news. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but it is necessary even though it hurts.
Mrs. Bishop has left behind a legacy that will live on in the lives of our Yalari children and their families for many years to come. This heritage will be Mrs. Bishop’s legacy.
In 1979, she had faith in a young Native American boy and “opened the door” for him to a variety of educational options, which I will be always grateful for.
In the lives of our Yalari children and their families, the legacy that Mrs. Bishop left behind will be carried on by our Yalari children. There was no way for Mrs. Bishop to have known that a single act of charity on her part would have an impact on the lives of over 750 students almost 45 years from now, in the year 2023.
