Richard Kobbe Obituary, Death – On May 14, 2023, retired Lieutenant Richard Kobbe of Ladder Company 133 passed away as a result of the disease he contracted as a result of his work at the World Trade Center. The Uniformed Firefighters Association expresses its deepest condolences at the news of his loss.
Our department will always remember Lt. Kobbe for his selflessness and commitment, which he demonstrated during his 20 years of service. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family during this difficult time. I pray that he finds eternal rest.

It has been decided to proceed with the following arrangements:Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Towers Funeral Home, Inc., located at 2681 Long Beach Road, Oceanside, New York 11572.St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 88 Anchor Avenue in Oceanside, New York 11572, will have a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:45 am.
