Philip Pixler Obituary, Death – On May 17, 2023, Philip Eugene Pixler, 61 years old, a resident of Petersburg, West Virginia, passed away while he was at home. He was the son of Charles Everette Pixler, who was from Athena, Oregon, and Rose Marie Minor, who was from Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on November 5, 1961, in Glendale, California.

Mr. Pixler was educated at Hillsboro, Oregon schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia. In Hagerstown, Maryland, Philip was a member of the Roadway Transportation team working in the loading department. After he retired, he moved to Petersburg, where he volunteered as a driver for the Potomac Valley Transit Authority, the Potomac Highlands Guild, and the Petersburg Lions Club. He also served as president of the Petersburg Lions Club. Philip was a talented singer and guitarist who was very giving with his time and had a deep love for his family. He had a lot of respect for them. He was not only a “hearer” of the word, but also a “doer” of the word, as it says in James 1:22; this allowed him to live his life in accordance with the word of God.

In addition to his parents, Philip is survived by his four brothers, Charles Pixler (Cindy) of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Douglas Pixler (Robin) of Petersburg, Christopher Pixler (Raigne) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Matthew Pixler (Kristen) of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Douglas Pixler and Christopher Pixler married a woman named Raigne.
