Paddy Daly Obituary, Death – One of the most well-liked and good individuals in the parish passed away, and Shannonbridge GAA Club and the surrounding community were deeply saddened to learn of his loss. On Saturday, May 20, Paddy Daly of Clonfanlough passed away following a brief illness.
Paddy was raised in a farming family and has dedicated his entire life to farming, making him one of the most successful farmers in the Midlands. He was a good all-around athlete, playing football for Belmont and rising to become one of Offaly’s most skilled badminton players in his generation.
During the 1960s and 1970s, when the Clonfanlough Badminton Club was at the top of its game in Offaly and elsewhere, he is in fact recognized as a brilliant leader of the club. Rose, Paddy’s devoted wife who passed away when Paddy’s family was still relatively young, predeceased him. He raised a great family on his own, which is another achievement in his life.
His children Helen, Patricia, Cathal, Peter, and Anne will deeply miss and cherish him. several of his grandchildren. Peter, Kieran, Maureen, Josephine, Sean, and Agnes are his siblings. His sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a sizable group of acquaintances. Those who were fortunate enough to have known and learned from Paddy will always cherish his memory. Until we cross paths again, rest in peace, dear friend.
