Owen Pezet Obituary, Life Member Of Football Queensland Has Died

Owen Pezet Obituary, Death – The death of Football Queensland Life Member and OAM Owen Pezet has left the organization in deep grief. Owen was named a Life Member of Football Queensland in 1998 in recognition of his considerable services to the sport. He also served on the Football Queensland Board of Directors from 2003 to 2006.

Owen made significant contributions to the sport of football in Queensland through his work with the Brisbane North and Districts Junior Soccer Association, the North Pine United Soccer Club, and the Queensland Junior Soccer Council, where he served as President for 11 years. His involvement in the sport includes included responsibilities on the Sunshine Coast Soccer Federation reform working party, ball boy coordinator for Australia vs. Columbia match in 1995, and pre-match entertainment coordinator for the 1993 World Youth Cup. He was in charge of all of these obligations.

Owen was named on the Australia Day Honours List and was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in January of this year for his achievements in football. Owen’s accomplishments and legacy will not be forgotten, and he will be remembered as a recognizable face on the sidelines for the rest of his life. Football Queensland extends its heartfelt sympathies to Owen’s family and other loved ones.
