Michael Buckley Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that Michael Buckley, a good brother in Christ, has ascended to his heavenly home. When information about the arrangements is available, we will post it. Please pray for his mother, his family, and his close friends.
Mike was an expert carpenter and could construct or repair anything. He was a devoted “Monkees” fan and enjoyed playing golf with his friends, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Territorial Brewery and Handmap Brewery “Mug Club.”
At the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Battle Creek, where services honoring his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5th, the family will welcome visitors from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4. You may watch the live stream of the event at https://vimeo.com/event/2669751. The family has asked that throughout the visitation and funeral services, masks be worn and that social distance be observed.
At Augusta’s Fort Custer National Cemetery, there will be a complete military funeral service and burial. On December 7, 2022, a Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Catholic Church under the direction of the Rev. James Richardson. Memorial contributions can be made to the Frances Thornton Historical Fund at the Battle Creek Community Foundation or Centrica Care Navigators (previously Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan).
