Mark Rodgers Obituary, Death – Mark Rodgers, formerly of New York and Southampton, embarked on his voyage to the exciting new life that awaited him somewhere in the city of New York on November 14, 2021. Mark was born and reared in Tyler, Texas, where he initially displayed his amazing speaking voice and theatrical abilities. Mark was also the first member of his family to complete high school.
After receiving his associate’s degree from Tyler Junior College, he continued his education at the University of Texas, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in theatre. Throughout the early 1970s, he was a member of several iconic shows, and he continued to refine his stagecraft by appearing in other plays. These events occurred at the same time. Mark and his long-term girlfriend relocated to New York in 1977, and Mark soon found early success in the city’s Off-Broadway theater scene.
Mark began a long and successful career at Citibank after realizing that achieving financial freedom would be a better decision than pursuing his passion of theater and applause. He attributes this decision to helping him accomplish his financial independence aspirations. He had spent the majority of his career in public and press relations, where he had become a well-regarded and respected professional, until retiring in 2018.
Mark and his partner’s favored weekend getaway location was Peckerwood, which is located in Southampton on Long Island. They learned, along with their many friends and family members from all over the world, that spending time together at their homes provided them with a tremendous amount of joy. Nothing gave them greater pleasure than hosting get-togethers for their loved ones around their magnificent and serene property’s pool.
