Marian Kelso Obituary, Death – The tragic news that Marian Kelso, Downtown Blacksburg’s very own Mrs. Claus, has passed away has caused all of us to feel an overwhelming sense of loss. She has been seen welcoming youngsters year after year, all the way up to December of this past year while playing the part of Mrs. Claus, which she has portrayed for a number of years now.
Alongside Santa Claus and Blacksburg’s Mayor, she enjoyed herself while taking part in the ceremonial lighting of the holiday tree in Downtown Blacksburg. She was 97 years old at the time of her death.
