Lynn Kramer Obituary, Death – Lynn Arden Samsel Kramer, 83 years old, of Cape May, New Jersey and East Greenwich, Rhode Island, went away in a calm and tranquil manner on Friday, May 12th.
Lynn was both a stay-at-home mom and a business owner. Lynn Arden’s Children Shoppe was originally located on the Cape May mall and was once known as Bragg’s Children’s Clothing Store. In 1984, she and her husband, Jack, bought the store and changed its name. Her first inclination was not to run the shop by herself; nonetheless, she enjoyed interacting with the clients and enjoyed going shopping for the shop. She and Jack finished the store renovations in 2008, at which point Lynn Arden’s was expanded to encompass a three-story building.
The store existed there for 24 years, during which time it was run profitably, till it was finally sold in 2018. Very fast, Lynn came to the conclusion that she missed both the children’s clothes company and her previous clients, so she and her daughter, Jennifer, decided to create Arden’s Kids. Lynn looked forward to seeing returning customers each summer and would get a kick out of hearing from them that their mothers or grandmothers bought at the store when they were young children.
Her bonnets, sailor costumes, and other artifacts that she has passed down from generation to generation will ensure that her legacy is never forgotten. On May 22nd, the funeral will be held at the Spilker Funeral Home in Cape May, beginning at 10am. On May 27th, the funeral will be held in Rhode Island at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church beginning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Wounded Warrior Fund or any animal shelter.
