Kaslyn Switzer Obituary, Death – I didn’t know anyone when I entered my junior year at Asheboro High School, so I was really anxious about the first day of classes. I was able to locate my homeroom and chose a seat next to a girl who was sporting an identical shirt to the one I was wearing.
She greeted me with, “Hey, I like your shirt,” before I could say anything in response. I’m Kaslyn. We’re gonna be best friends.” And she was absolutely correct. We were really dishonest and sneaky, just like Thelma and Louise. Being in Kaslyn’s company guaranteed a fun day for everyone. It didn’t matter if we were sneaking up to Boone to get a tattoo, trying to get to school on time, or burning through 220 on the way to Greensboro; life was always full of exciting new experiences.
She was the kind of friend that anyone would be lucky to have. She had just contacted me this week to see how I was doing and to express how pleased she was that I had begun my new internship. We always managed to take up exactly where we had left off, regardless of how long it had been since the last time we had seen one other. The Switzer family has my thoughts and prayers. Kaslyn Switzer will forever be cherished, and her absence will be deeply felt.
