Karen Kennedy Obituary, Death – Karen R. Kennedy, 83, of Wahoo, NE, died on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the Saunders Medical Center LTC. She was born in Norfolk, Nebraska on September 18, 1939 to Clarence Elmer and Theda Katherina Rosa (Mintken) Hoffman. Karen attended Norfolk High School in Norfolk, Nebraska, where she was a majorette.
Karen was a committed Avon sales professional and a Wahoo Chamber of Commerce ambassador. She was often out and about in the community, whether it was volunteering at local nursing homes or using her talent for bringing people together. Karen attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Connie (Bill) Tracewell of Pottstown, PA, Tom (Barbara) Kennedy of Highland Village, TX, and Robert (Donna) Kennedy of East Meredith, NY survive her; grandchildren Mason and Hayley Tracewell, Collin (Carley) Kennedy, Katherine (Connor) Jackson, and Finton Kennedy; niece Stacia (Bob) Keller; and many other family members and friends.
Her husband, Warren Kennedy, and parents, Clarence and Theda Hoffman, predeceased her. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 504 W. 8th St., Wahoo, NE.
Pastor Bob Hayden, officiant Visitation will be held at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo, NE on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. Sunrise North Cemetery in Wahoo, Nebraska. The funeral will be webcast live on the Facebook page of Svoboda Funeral Home.
