Jessie Glasenapp Obituary, Death – Jessie Edna (Hannah) Glasenapp, who was 96 years old when she passed away, was surrounded by her devoted family when she passed away on May 14, 2023. Jessie Hannah was the daughter of Harry and Jessie (Setzer) Hannah. S
he was born on September 29, 1926 as a twin and was named after her parents. Her husband Herman Glasenapp Jr., who passed away in 2015, was her husband at the time of her passing. Jessie Edna attended Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church continuously throughout her entire life. She had spent a lot of time in the field alongside her husband Herman throughout the years. Jessie placed a high value on the time she spent with her family and made sure that they, along with her faith and her friends, were her top priorities.
Jessie Edna is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Sue Glasenapp Walker and Brenda Jo Glasenapp, as well as her two cherished dogs, Valintino and Benny. Jessie Edna was a dog lover. Her husband, Herman Glasenapp Jr., her twin brother Harry David Hannah, who passed away when he was an infant, and her brother James O. Hannah (O.J.), together with her sister Marjorie Hannah, all before her in death.
On Friday, May 19, 2023, the wake and funeral service for Jessie Edna will be held at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the ceremony will start on time at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony will be presided over by Pastor Wally Cullen. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Good Samaritan Hospice, the Vincennes Pet Port, or the Hamline Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. At a later time, there will be a cremation followed by a private burial. It is an incredible honor for the staff at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home to be entrusted with Jessie Edna’s care.
