James Inman Obituary, Death- James “Jim” Robert Inman, who was 79 years old and lived in Westfield, North Carolina, passed away in the Woltz Hospice Home on May 17, 2023.
On October 29, 1943, Jim was born to William McKinley and Pearl Elizabeth Tilley Inman, both of whom have since passed away. After attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, from which he later retired, he participated in two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. After serving in the armed forces for twenty years, he eventually retired and began working as a cement truck driver. Both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars counted him as a member at one point.
It was commonly known that he would give pocket knives as presents to people whom he cared about. His daughters, Marcene Elizabeth Inman and Rhonda Sue Witherspoon, as well as his sister, Jane Bender, as well as his three grandchildren, Dillon Carter, Suzanne Williams, and Spencer Witherspoon, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Savannah Williams, and William Bentley Nelson, as well as his special friend, Nancy Martin, are the only ones who are able to carry on his legacy and honor his memory.
On Monday, May 22, 2023, the family will welcome friends and loved ones at Brim’s Grove Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 PM and continuing until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will commence at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Gerald Jones officiating the ceremony. After the service, the body will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
