Gordon Keddie Obituary, Death – Gordon Keddie, a much-loved husband, father, grandpa, and pastor, lost his battle with prostate cancer on Friday, May 19th, at the age of 78. He had been battling the disease for a long time. It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you. He hung in there until all three of his sons could come together, and when he passed away, he was surrounded by his family.
When he was a younger guy, he attended a sermon that was based on Ecclesiastes 12:1. “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw nigh when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them,” it says. “While the evil days are not coming, nor the years are drawing nigh.”
This passage of scripture was the impetus for him to publicly acknowledge Jesus Christ as his lord and savior, which led to his eventual decision to devote the next forty years of his life to serving as a gospel minister in Pittsburgh, Scotland, State College, Pennsylvania, and Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Jane, as well as his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Iain, David and Christina, and Iain and Jane.
