Gary Block Obituary, Death – Gary Harold Block, 82 years old, passed away on April 11, at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was a resident of Manistee. He was born on April 6, 1937, in Manistee to the late Harold A. Block and Alice M. (Anderson) Block. Both of his parents have since passed away.
Gary received his diploma from Manistee High School in 1955, the same year his class graduated. Kathleen Pacholski was his bride at the June 1957 wedding. Gary worked for PCA for 35 years before taking his retirement in the year 1999. He attended services at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee throughout his life. Gary cherished the time he could spend fiddling away in his workshop. It was very enjoyable for him to create amusing and one-of-a-kind presents for his family, and he always poured his whole heart into each one.
He had a lot of pride in this accomplishment, and it made him quite happy. Gary is survived by his wife Kathleen Block of Manistee, sons; Gary Alan Block and Randy Block, both of Manistee, and Kelly and Randy Block, both of Kalamazoo, brothers; Kevin (Peggy) Block of St. Joseph, MI, Cory (Lisa) Block of Manistee, and Brad (Bonnie) Block of Portland, OR, sister-in-law; Mary Smith of Manistee, grandchildren; Amber Block of Ludington, Ashley (Jason) Sh
