Dennis Kane Obituary, Death – Dennis M. Kane, who had lived in Wakefield his entire life died unexpectedly on Thursday. He was a devoted husband to Suzanne (Archambault) Kane throughout the duration of their marriage. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to Michael G. Kane and Betty Ann (Hogan) Kane, both of whom had died before his birth.
Mr. Kane spent his entire professional life working as a primary school teacher in the Chariho School System. He was a deeply patriotic American with a strong desire to serve his country in some capacity, but he was unable to do so due to circumstances beyond his control, which prohibited him from joining the military. He was unable to serve his country in any manner, despite his intense desire to do so. He is survived by his wife, two children, and their spouses: Adrien Blaine and her husband Douglas of Warwick, and Alison Ward and her husband James of Narragansett. His wife is a survivor as well. He is also the grandfather of three grandchildren, Michael Ward, Noah Blaine, and Nathan Ward.
On Wednesday, a Christian Burial Mass will be held at Christ the King Church in Kingston, which is located at 180 Old North Road. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at the Avery-Storti Service Home, located at 88 Columbia Street in Wakefield. The ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. Following the conclusion of the funeral ceremonies, the burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery in Peace Dale. Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. are reserved exclusively for visitors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Foundation, Rhode Island Chapter, 2915 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886-3117. Checks should be made out to the ALS Foundation. You will be permitted to utilize the envelopes given by the funeral home.
