Chris Bartlett Obituary, Death – On Monday afternoon, a motorcyclist was struck and killed in Gilbert by a driver who was apparently under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. In the region of Williams Field Road and Val Vista Drive in Gilbert, Arizona, shortly after 1:30 p.m., an accident involving a motorcycle and a car took place.
Gilbert’s law enforcement and fire department were both summoned to the location. Christopher Bartlett, age 23, was transported to the hospital upon the arrival of emergency personnel; however, he did not make it through his time spent at the facility and was pronounced dead.
The results of the inquiry indicate that Bartlett was driving his motorcycle in the westbound direction on Williams Field Road when he was involved in an accident with a car driven by Lucinda Begay, who was making a left turn at the time of the collision. Begay’s age was given as 49 years. She was brought into custody and processed for a DUI investigation. Begay has not yet been publicly accused of the crimes for which he will be tried; charges have not been made public.
Williams Field Road was shut down while the police carried out their investigation, but it was reopened just before 6:30 o’clock in the evening when they had finished their work. At this time, there is an investigation being conducted.
