Brett Harris Obituary, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Dies In San Jacinto Crash

Brett Harris Obituary, Death – A deputy with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office who was involved in a collision early on Friday morning has reportedly passed unexpectedly as a result of the injuries he sustained as a result of the incident, as stated in the announcement that was issued by Sheriff Chad Bianco on Sunday.

At around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, in San Jacinto, Deputy Brett Harris, who was working out of the Hemet Sheriff’s Station, was injured in a collision with another vehicle. At the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and State Street is where the collision took place. The Sheriff’s Office stated that Harris, who was 26 years old at the time of the event, suffered major injuries, including a “catastrophic brain injury.”

It has been confirmed by the Sheriff’s Office that Deputy Harris was responding to a call for backup at the time of the incident; however, there is very little information available on the actual tragedy. The driver of the second vehicle, a Hemet lady who was 56 years old, had moderate injuries as she was trying to extract Harris from the debris of the vehicle. A second deputy also suffered a knee injury while they were trying to pull Harris from the wreckage.
