Bill Proctor Obituary, Death – Bill Proctor, who served as the Honorary President of Dalton Rugby for many years, passed away at the age of 91. The members of the club were shocked and upset to learn of his passing when they heard the news. The tragic news of his passing was shared with the club’s members.

Bill joined the Dalton ARLFC as a player at the beginning of his career, and he eventually worked his way up through the ranks to become the club’s president. Bill was a longtime member of the Dalton ARLFC and contributed to the club in a number of different ways during the course of his membership.

Bill’s contributions to the financial stability of BARLA and the Barrow & District League are highly appreciated, and he was held in exceptionally high regard across the entirety of the rugby league community at all levels. BARLA and the Barrow & District League are both based in Barrow. In addition to this, he was an important figure in the establishment of the competition for the Barton Townley Cup, which is still held annually to this day. It will be with great regret that he is remembered at Dalton Rugby, and the entire club would like to extend its sympathies to his wife, Eunice, and to every member of their family. He will be remembered at Dalton Rugby with great grief.
