Antonio Smith Obituary, Death – After a shooting at a motel in Clifton on Monday, one person died and two others were injured. A 34-year-old man was discovered with gunshot wounds at the Budget Host Town Center Motel on Central Parkway in Clifton shortly before 11 p.m., according to police. The victim, who has not been recognized by police, was taken to UC Medical Center and died as a result of his injuries. Antonio Smith has been identified as the victim by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

According to police, two other shooting victims arrived at a nearby hospital shortly after the shooting. According to officials, the two surviving victims are not being identified at this time. One witness, who was grazed by a bullet but did not require medical attention, stated that it all started when he, his fiancée, and a few others left their motel room. Someone yelled at them as a black pickup drew up. “And then there’s back and forth gunfire,” the witness stated.

The unidentified witness claims that someone in his group brought a man he didn’t know who was wearing a pandemic-style mask. He claims the man in the pickup drew a gun at the same time. “As he was shooting, he was backing up into my room, and I was right next to him.” That’s how I got snipped,” the witness explained. The Homicide Unit of the Cincinnati Police Department is still investigating. Anyone with information on the homicide should contact the homicide unit at 513-352-3542.
